We’re delighted to host you and want your stay to be comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free. To ensure a wonderful experience for everyone, we kindly ask you to follow the guidelines below.

This short guide helps you settle in and enjoy your time on our beautiful island.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in is available from **2:00 PM to 10:00 PM**.

Please let us know in advance if your arrival time changes.

Check-out is **before 10:00 AM** to allow time for cleaning and preparation for the next guests. Late arrival or departure requests may be possible depending on availability — just ask!

Peace & Quiet

The Rustic Residence is located in a peaceful residential neighborhood. Quiet hours are from **12:00 AM to 6:00 AM**. We kindly ask you to keep noise low during this time to respect neighbors and fellow guests.

Restaurant Atmosphere 

The Rustic Residence is home to a popular restaurant offering local and international cuisine. During busy evenings, you may occasionally hear ambient sounds or guest activity from the restaurant. This is part of the lively and welcoming atmosphere of the property and typically settles later in the evening. We appreciate your understanding and hope you enjoy the vibrant island spirit.

Respecting the Apartment 

Please treat the apartment and its furnishings with care. If anything is damaged or not working properly, inform us right away — we’re here to help.

 Clean Living

• Dispose of garbage properly

• Keep the apartment reasonably tidy

• Wash dishes after use

This helps maintain comfort for everyone.

Kitchen Use

Feel free to enjoy the kitchen — just clean utensils and surfaces after cooking.

Electricity & Air Conditioning

Electricity is valuable on island infrastructure. Please switch off lights and air conditioning when leaving the apartment.  

Water Conservation

Mauritius relies on limited freshwater resources. We appreciate mindful water use.

Tropical Environment

Tips Mauritius is a tropical island — insects are part of nature here. Keeping doors and windows closed when not in use helps prevent them from entering.

Safety & Security

For your safety:

• Lock doors and windows when leaving

• Secure personal valuables We cannot take responsibility for lost items.

Waste Disposal

Please dispose of trash properly and avoid leaving garbage outside, as it may attract animals.

 Island Infrastructure

Occasionally, Mauritius may experience short power or water interruptions. Thank you for your understanding — this is part of island living and beyond our control.

Visitors

Only registered guests may stay overnight. Please check with us before inviting visitors.

Smoking & Parties

Smoking inside the apartment is not allowed. Parties or loud gatherings are not permitted.

Pets 

Pets are welcome only by prior arrangement. As the owners have dogs on the property, approval is required to ensure compatibility and comfort for everyone. A small additional cleaning fee will apply.

Please note that the property may not be suitable for young children or toddlers. The pool area is not fenced or locked, so supervision is required at all times

Security Features 

For the safety of guests and property:

• Exterior CCTV cameras are installed in outdoor areas of the property

• A carbon monoxide detector is installed

• Smoke detectors are installed

All safety equipment is regularly maintained for your protection and peace of mind.
